you can start the Admission Process and begin applying for admission.
Remember to research the standards for admission for each college so you
can make sure that you meet those standards. You should apply to several
schools also, just in cast you are not accepted into the college of your
choice. To begin; you need an application and a current schedule .You
can do this by visiting the college, (always recommended) calling the
college, going to their website and downloading it, or requesting "Admissions
Package" mainly the application and schedule from links on their
website. Many times the application is in the schedule
for that term that the schedule is published as well. Before filling out
the application go through the "Application Checklist". And
make sure you have all the dates, times, required documents, addresses
to send the application, SAT or ACT test scores, and transcripts pay application
fee and Financial Aid Forms. Do it all before the semester or term deadline.
Transcripts -Colleges and universities usually base
their admissions decisions on a student's academic record (completion
of all coursework required for eligibility into that college.)and test
scores (ACT or SAT). Offical and "unopened" copies of your trancipts
from your previous school need to be verified by the college. Most colleges
and universities request that offical copies be sent to them directly
from other schools you have attended.Use the "Transcript Request
Form" to do this. It may take 2 to 4 weeks for them to receive your
transcript.Somtimes it is your responsibility to obtain a copy of your
"offical/unopend" transcript from your previous school. To do
this go to Office of Admissions and Records via; visiting the campus,
online or calling them. Fill out the "Transcript Request Form"
remember to sign it, pay a small fee, you can usually pay extra to have
the document expedited and for multiple copies. DO
NOT OPEN THE LETTER WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT. (REPEAT
DO NOT OPEN THE LETTER.) If you were in the military the following links
will help you obtain your transcripts.

Personal
Statement
College Entrance Essay(Personal
Statement)-The
college entrance essay is a short essay of
no more than 200 to 400 words. The essay illuminates your academic achievements,
personal interests and life experiences. The best advice for the essay
seems to be to capture the attention of the admissions committee by showing
them something about the actual person who is applying and why you are
different from everybody else who is applying. The advice and recommendations
about how one should write the essay are all over the map. gotfiredgethired.com
liked writinghelp-central.com and an Article
by Sally Wood for some good advice. Also here is a link to sample
essays from EssayEdge.com Like the standardized tests some colleges
and universities may not require and essay.
